Even though I’m in Manchester, I wanted a second opinion regarding a bad treatment I had received at a clinic in Manchester. Paul beats his migraines with Botox – the story continues

Further to my Testimonial earlier this year, here’s an update. The trigger points for my migraines had been identfiied with the Botox as in my neck. I had the operation mid July and although I had a headache for about 2 weeks afterwards I can say the results have been wonderful. I’ve a fair scar that the good Doctor also claims will fade in time but as I told him he could have remove half my face but if gave me 50% less pain I’d have been just as happy. If you’re in any doubt persist with the Botox, then consider going for the operation. I now have a life; I’m finding it strange as I still expect a bad head everyday as that was the norm. I’m quite new to Botox, so like most people faced with so any clinics to choose from I was nervous and not sure where to go Having decided on Dr Blatchley at Capital Aesthetics I’m very happy that I did. I found Chris friendly, professional and informative, and he took the time to discuss my objectives with regards to the Botox. Although nervous, I felt at ease with Chris’s approach, manerism and explanations of the procedure and was encouraged to ask as many questions as I could think of with very informative answers in return. I definitelycame out feeling confident that I had chosen the right place for me. Iam absolutely delighted with the results, and can verify that it absolutel does the trick!! Tan Implant- Get a tan without a sunbed

A new implant to make you tan is on the verge of being released.

The grain sized implant is inserted just below the skin by a doctor and works by stimulates the melanocyte cells in the skin to produce melanin, and has been hailed as being both safe and protecting you from skin cancer. And even more, it will enable you to get a tan without exposing you to cancer-inducing sunbeds. Nor will you have to suffer the ageing effect of UV light

Is it safe? Well, $80 million has been spent testing it over the last 10 years, and it is soon to be licensed for medical conditions at the moment, but it is hoped it will be available for general release for those who want a tan without a sunbed. Watch this space…

The idea is great in principle, and consists of harvestinging a few of your own fibroblasts (the cells that make your collagen for you), growing them into large numbers over a few weeks and then reinjecting them into you. At the moment that is all it is – a good idea – but if it ever becomes a reality we will be offering it. At the moment the general feeling is that it is too expensive, not reliable enough, and open to you feeling upset, ripped off and altogether unhappy!

One day, perhaps, but in the mean time Botox, dermal fillers such as Radiesse and skin treatments such as Obagi are all proven to work at a fraction of the cost
